well, im makign an rpg. im lookin for sugestions. im not gonna tell ya allot, but:

eatch player picks a hero. there are gonan be 4 (or 5, or 6) classes, sutch as mage, warrior, ranger, evil dude (for lack of a better term) ext.

eatch class has a choice of what guild to join. eatch guld has its strengths/weaknesses, as well as its allys and enemys.

If your strong enuf, you can challange one of the many gods. (UNLIKE ALLOT OF THE RPGS: gods dont do 1000000 dmd, theyll do 200 ish. that will be godly for the balance of the game.) gods dont die, but if you beat them u get a prise (not one that makes u supreme, jsut a small boost.)

this map will NoT have ANY tomes.

You will equip items Diablo 2 style. some people cant use others wepons.


well, now i currently have 2 heros fully planned out. i wil ltake sugestions (note: i DONT wanan use the default war 3 spells. im making allot of trigger enhanced ones.)

i also want sugestions on the idea. im trying to make a quality rpg, that isent full of godly heros, and godly items.

Edit: oh! and i NEED a name for this rpg. im drawing a blank. literaly, ive gon thru 20 white board markers letin em dry out in ym hand thinking!

ive got a suggestion for how to balance items, give each item level and stat requirements. Also put in item durability (you can make over powered weapons but they can only be used for 10 hits to balance them out).

need more info on the heros for their skills, tell us what type of spells you think they should have, ie for the mage do you want all attack spells, do you want enhanceing spells, passive spells, healing spells, summoning spells, curse spells, specific element spells, basally we need a little more info.

something interesting to do is have the character skills differ depending on guild, or give a choice for another skill depending on guild. Somehow make the skills and guild tie in together.

I cant quite help you with a name, just start throwing words together till you get something you like, if that fails try another language, if that fails use gibberish.

lol. spells can be anything. ofensive, defensive, ext. think about total heros too, like a goblin hero (:P one of the few i have done)

Sounds nice, how about "Henchmen paradise"

I am curious though to how you would do your diablo style items, yet keeping that so you can equip weapons and such without taking up an item slot.

also shouldn't this be in the maps-in-progress fourm?

As far as a name goes I suggest forgetting about it for now. Work on the map for a while and leave its name as unamed_RPG. Then after working on it for a while I'm shure a fitting name will develop. Plus creating a name early on can limit the game, unless you know exactly what it is you'd like your game to be.

What is quite apparent, already, is that you WILL need someone to write the tooltips for your map... or type slower...

(Seriously... It's hell to start fixing your typos after you've completed the map... I know)

hey! i resent that! i can type perfectly. when i type on forms, i do it verry fast so the ones on the map will be mostly errorless.

well, when a hero gains a level, he DOS NOT gain str agi int. every level u get 4 points, u can use those points t oadd to your atributes as you choose.
