I was wondering if anyone has actual "steps" on how to make an icon "disabled" in adobe. I have tried by removeing the border and then darkening... but it dosen't fade into the background, so it dosen't match with the other icons.:////

I usually just take the reg, add a dark film with filter shading and then black out the border...

yep thats the way 2 do it .

heres the steps:

[1] make your icon
[2] select the rectangle tool
[3] select the black swatch from the swatches menu
[4] make rectangles around the grey border
[5] put a rectangle covering the picture and set the fill % to 50%
[6] Save As : DISBTNbla.tga and done
