im using a item to attach effects. im using orb of fire and changed the Attach point to "hand right" and the effect to Blue fire. that way will look like a blue fire on the hand of the hero... BUT in the game the fire its in the OTHER HAND of the hero.. in the LEFT HAND??!! WHY???? the possition of the effect changes in all heros that i used... the tauren got it in the left hand.. the shaman in the right hand and the bloodmage in the Right hand too. i cant use the "weapon" string attach point because its going out of the hand... any ideas about WTF its going on???

Apparently the models have their attachment points mixed up - probably different modellers, different ideas of what "left hand" and "right hand" meant.

Do you really need it to always be on the same hand?

If it's really needed, check which hero has what as left/right. But I'd just go with the "Strange mix", noone will notice the difference, at least not enough to tell someone else.

im using swords this time.. all my heros attacks with the right hand and it will look very weird if the hero attacks with the shield and not with the sword... dont u think?. . by the way. i have to type "Right hand" or "hand right"????????? i guess that could be the problem.... cuz the effect allways appear in the opposite hand of the primary weapon.. if the hero have the weapon on the right hand, it the effect will be on the left hand... even if i give the same item to a hero with the weapon in the left hand the effect will added to the rigth hand...

If you're editing the attachment point of an ability, you should use TWO strings, not one that says "hand right" - the first should be "hand" and the second should be "right." Check out the attachment points for Sphere and you'll see what I mean - they show up as "sprite, first" but they're put together like this:
