Trouble with certain skins

I posted a similar note in another section, but it has been days and I got no response so I will post it here.

I am having trouble getting certain skins to override the original. I have had no problems with any units so far, but when I tried to use a new human tower, and human magic skin, neither of them would work. I also tested the lumber mill, in case it was just buildings that weren't working, but it seemed to work just fine. I even tried to do just a simple "squigly" over the original towers skin, but even that would not work. I noticed that the tft we says that "some" default things can be overridden, are towers not overrideable? Any help here would be appreciated.

I know I could just copy the tower and change the path and import it as a new model (at least I hope that will work), but I am trying to keep from adding any unnecessary models as I would like the file size as small as possible. Again, the skins not working are HumanTower.blp and HumanMagicTower.blp.

Thanks in advance. :D

If you are working in the World Editor, the skins will not show up untill you save your map, and then close and open World Editor. It is also possible that you have put the skins in the wrong path.

I checked that the paths were correct, many many times actually. I also restarted world edit more than once before taking out, restarting, readding, and restarting again. Like I said, I had no problems seeing units and the lumbermill, so I have at least figured that much out :). But thanks for those, I forgot to mention I had done both.

please dont post 2 threads on 1 topic, look here for a possible sollution, also an easier way to vey skins in the WE is to make a folder inside your wc3 folder that has the same files as the skins path eg. if you wanted the pheonix skin (units\Human\Phoenix\Phoenix2.blp), you would create a folder called units, then put a folder called human in that, then a folder called pheonix in that, then the Phoenix2.blp in that, then open WE
