I changed the model of an item, and in the editor it appears right, but in the game it's still just the chest as usual.. any way to fix it?

did you inject the file in the map? and AFTER saving your map?

No actually I just mean an ordinary model from the game without blp stuff. Just if you change the model of an item into a peasant for example doesnt work (it only appears in the editor).

uhm items have no models... they only have interface icons to my knowledge, unless you are using a special editor that allows you to do such a change in the unit editor itsself, but this still requires injecting

....... that was retarded......

when you drop items it shows a treasure chest..... MAYBE, just maybe he was referring to that hmm?

maybe next time you can give us advice on how to make special editor that allows to DO THINGS THIS ONE ALREADY SUPPOSIDLY HAS

as for the topic.... i guess the editors screwed royally......i noticed that too..... a shame really, i had a whole thing i was trying to do with items..... involving freezingbreath.mdx and literal mineral water :

oh don't worry if the moderator knows nothing, I FULLY suggest you question and be cynical, skull just pretty much abritrary made moderators...I don't like it...I would like far LESS moderators in this forums.

i know there is a treasure chest model, and i know that is what he was talking about. think i am retarded? i meant, there is no way to change the model of that chest with normal editor, which i thought he was trying to do when he mentioned "normal skins"

and weaaddar, keep your ego and your harmful comments to yourself... kthx

Eh I'm speaking from experience here. Not saying you know nothing but really this status of just assume the moderator is right, isn't a great rule of thumb. Moderators SHOULD know what they're talking about which is why I'm not a moderator for Modelling and skinning though I frequent the forum, I am as adept to moddelling/skinning as a midget is to slam dunking in basketball. Sure I can do it barely, and far in between.

Anyway Item models seem to actually only have half of there model visible at any time.
