When you have an idea of a project, don't just write it down and make new thread.. most likely, that won't get you anywhere. IF you want your projet to be succcessful, you need to get it well organized first. write down all the facts about your project, including new systems, what it is about, storyline is not always the main thing which i see a lot of people just writing down stories... some people are too lazy to read all that. eye candies are always a good thing because some people may be just scrolling down the screen and may get attracted by your work. New skins and especially new models can attract people to work for you. story could be put up later once everything is organized and once you realize people are interested in your work. When you are not getting any replies or attention still, what can I say? it is not meant to be successful |

Indeed - I say similar things in my advice thread. I've been working on two unit mods and have produced a design template for them - I think I'll do one for campaigns as well. I might as well attach the mod design template now... The most common problem I see is people unsure how to start campaigns - most just write a story and presume people will flock to them. No sirree, people need to do most or a substantial piece of the start to get it going. |

That's a nice template Magic. I tend to brainstorm a lot (especilly now, against legolasarcher), and when I do, I can't make an organized list. Mine looks like different things seperated by a space... So I could have a unit idea and then a list of buildings, and then some story bit. I mean, when we're "done" with that (We'll always be changing things), I can write up something like the template showed. Anyway, good work. I think this thread should me stickied.
