How big can an aeon be as max? I dont know if I should remove the hero glow of 12 heroes and import skins. I think I do not...maybe I add can add a few more skins to bad-modeled units? Icons is already there... I'm also going to import hero-glow thing to heroes. Tell me here what you think is most prioritated and vote max size.

1. B.net and LAN Maps are limited in the Size, to 5MB
2. Why you started 2 Threads?
3. Don't use over 2MB for a B.net Map!

I'm fighting to keep mine under 3 megs, but that is about the maximum size for an AoS. Or any map for that matter. The difference is that people might wait to DL an AoS, but they won't for a TD.

In my experience, it's pretty hard to add anything to a map and keep it under 250k. 500k isn't unreasonable, and it's a pretty fast download. I voted 2mb, although I try to keep myself at 1mb.

Even with small map sizes, though, high-levelled heros and abilities can make your map take a long time to load. A 600k map took almost 2 min 30 sec to load because it had 154 skills that went to level 10 and 36 that went to level 4. Beware how high you put your levels, because it will take the map a long time to process.

As far as hero glow, check out Vex's thread on hero glow with one trigger and one imported file.

The gap between your second and third choice is a bit wide, considering many of the aos maps out now are right around 1 meg. Even ToB with it's several custom skins is just short of 1 meg. And you can't host a Bnet map that's over.. what BlackLotus said.

I don't mind map size myself, as long as it is good. But if I were to make one I'd definitely try to stick to the 1 meg area.

500kb-1mb works well, but any bigger and you may find getting a full house (at least without it taking awhile) to be a problem.
