Ok, ill say the same thing ive been saying. You can either edit the slks, or you can copy the graphic you want and put it into the map renamed as the blizzard graphic. Either way works, but if you are using the blizzard graphic for anything else, it will effect those too. |

What should i do if i want to create a new spell based on Blizzard and don't want to change the original one?:saddened: |

make a custom copy in the worldedit if you are using the tft editor. if you are not, open the slk and copy the entire line for blizzard, and change the codes |

is there any way to use non-rain art for blizzard and still make it rain down? if i use anything but blizzard or starfall or infernal etc. art then it just animates on the ground.. |

well that would require some model's check the model forum can find some nice models that rain if i know what you mean (fall from sky right) but if that dont work maybe u could request a model or something falling down?(i dont model so dont ask me:D ) |

Actually, blizzard's raining shards are animated to "rain." Other things that rain are starfall, inferal birth, and rain of fire, just to name a few. Also, theres a new doodad that is basicly rocks falling down. |

Really? New doodpad where rock falling? WHERE? WHERE? |
| 12-09-2003, 07:40 PM | #12 |
This doodad is called "Dust" (Doodads - Cinematic - Dust) Doodads\Cinematic\CavernDust\CavernDust.mdx But this model has 2 "stand" animations stand - only falling dust and stand - 2 - falling dust and rocks. |

Ohhh...That ROCK!...But how do you put it as Blizzard Spell? |

1)The first way is to change original spell Open War3x.mpq with WinMPQ and extract file Units\HumanAbilityFunc.txt then find this text // Blizzard [AHbz] Art=ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNBlizzard.blp Researchart=ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNBlizzard.blp Buttonpos=0,2 Researchbuttonpos=0,0 Casterart= Order=blizzard [BHbd] Buffart=ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNBlizzard.blp Targetart=Abilities\Spells\Other\FrostDamage\FrostDamage.mdl [XHbz] Effectart=Abilities\Spells\Human\Blizzard\BlizzardTarget.mdl *) Effectsoundlooped=BlizzardLoop Effectsound=BlizzardWave *) - change it to Doodads\Cinematic\CavernDust\CavernDust.mdl Save this file and then imprt into your map with import manager using custom path "Units\HumanAbilityFunc.txt 2)If you don't want to change original spell there is only one another way - use triggers or Jass |

WHOA!!! That sound kind of complicate isn't it ? It would be amazing for u to remember every single detail.:D But I dont think I would be as good as u r. Is there a shorter way to do this ?( cause I just afraid I might mess up the process) |
