I have a problem..

I can't create an hero.. I want to create a sorceress hero.. so i start with the stats of an actual hero ex: The mountain King. So i change the model, interface, weapon etc etc..

In game.. all is ok but.. the damn VOICE!! She got the Mountain King voice

So i went on this site and download the add of the unit editor.. which is supposed that i can change the voice..

So I download it.. and unzip it in my warcraft folder.

C:/Program Files/Warcraft III/

I start my sorceress hero again.. and this time, it had more options in the editor.. and i see unit voice.. So I thanked god and i put sorceress.. i exported it, saved the game etc etc..

In game.. all is ok.. but ... the damn VOICE !!! She got AGAIN the Mountain King voice

Anybody can help me ?

hmm, edit unitdata.slk and inject it in your map :)

or use xtra editor... you can edit it directly from the unit editor with that, and there's a tool that comes with it that automatically injects the modified unitdata.slk into your map.

...or, you can wait. blizzard said they would add unit sound changing tools in the next major patch

Extract from war3.mpq the file UnitUI.slk. Find the row for the Mountain King. Change his UnitSound field to the one used for the Sorceress.

Import the changed UnitUI.slk file into your map as units\unitui.slk (it's not case sensitive, as far as I know).

The only drawback is that the Mountain King and any derivative unit will now sound like the Sorceress.

This works over battle.net as well.

If you have more questions, just ask.

Care.
