We have finally completed work on our new downloads/uploads area. This downloads area offers a unique map info extraction feature, when you upload your w3m/w3x/w3n our server will automatically extract your minimap and map information. There are still a few missing features but I feel that the code is mature enough to get some real world testing. If you find any bugs please let me know by private message or by posting a comment here. Downloads Area Once your file is uploaded it must get accepted by kiether and his team of content area moderators. Members with 1000 or more points in their account automatically have their submissions added in. The submitter of each file will receive one point for each unique download of his/her file. Feel free to post and comments questions or requests(we will try to fill them to the best of our abilities). |

First of all, great job. I'd love to know how you managed to extract the map data, but that isn't a question for this thread. Like I said though, it is nice to have a working downloads area, and you seem to have alot of features that will make it more efficient. Quote:
Just out of curiosity, why this? If you're looking to allow the communities elite to post un-hindered, would post-count be a better way of doing it. I suppose I'm a bit biased, as I've been against points from the start, but it just seems that in this situation it isn't the best way. For instance, if someone spends their bucket-load of points, they lose the advantage. If you aren't doing it to give the contributors an advantages, then I don't know why. Like I said, great job. I wish I had the coding skills you have. |

This is actually one of the features that isnt fully completed 35263526, in the end there will be 2 other ways to get around moderation. One will be a count of already accepted files, something like if you have 5 files that have already been accepted. There will also maybe a time registered option, people who have been here more than a year. |

You should list the filesize of each file so I don't have to click the download button to see. Some people need to know it because multiplayer maps can't be all that big. Otherwise, great work! :D |
