Hey WTF? About the Downloads

I run Warcraft Warehouse i notice the new downloads and it kinda pissed me off.. Not that it as skins from my site i can care less but the fact that some of the descriptions were CnPed off of my site and the pictures were just stolen and posted on there. No one ever asked him permission to use the text or pics. The downloads from my site even have my site's readme inside them.... I would have excepted a pm at least saying your using it. PLEASE use your OWN rating and your OWN pictures PLEASE! Also I want an apology please. No hard feelings but come on your stealing the time i put into it.

Kiether isn't on, but he is the one you should ask.

There seems to be misunderstanding, we will discuss this with Kiether, don't worry Mock1 we'll get this mess cleaned up.

We gathered material for the new section from all over the internet, and yes your site included. You don't have any warning or copyright notices on those descriptions. Im sorry if you felt we just "ripped" some content from you(im sure you got alot of your skins from our forums). If you send me a list of the files that you feel got riped, I can either remove them or I can add in a link to your site in their descriptions.

I didnt think anyone would steal pics and descriptions or my downloads straight off my site. Well I have it on my disclaimer now. Please insert my link with all the skins and models that were taken from my site. Warcraft III Warehouse I dont know put like taken from Warcraft III Warehouse or something.

wow 18 things.... thats like half my site. I dont care that u use the skins but take the pics and descriptions out. We can even share models and skins it doesn't matter. Yes I do get models and skins from this site also people do submit to multiple sites. So I dont really take from this site and when i do. I dont use your descriptions or pictures.

I dont remember you asking anyone if you could take those skins from our forums, as alot of them were posted here orignally... By the same merit you should put "File taken from Wc3campaigns.com forum attachments database" in your descriptions :P

Hes not talking about the actual skins, but the screenshots and the description/review that he (Mock1) posted about them.

It was obviously a major pain in the *** for him to take all of those screenshots, and then write reviews on all 18 of those skins.

Thats not what I'm trying to say. But if you do wanna do stuff like that then whatever. It's not really from WC3C its from the people that visit here. Your taking ownership of the skin I am just taking the ownership of the pics and descriptions. understand now? Plus if you look back at old posts you'll see me asking to host stuff and I contacted a number of skinners such as pencilgod and kde and got permission. Remember people submit skins to many sites so we will probly have the same skins.

70% of the files on my site I asked permission or were submitted to me. Did you guys get permission to host those files :p

He is asking for nothing more than recognition for his work, which is entirly valid. Also, under international copyright law, something is assumed to be copyrighted unless explicetly stated otherwise.

Consider it done, as, IMO (no offensence Mock) the preview pictures really are not that good. You should make nice frame around ss etc. *aargh, that blue/purple color...my eyes....eyes...are melting!!!*

Descriptions will of course be removed as well and be replaced with something else. Regarding the apology, you have to wait for Kiether for that, as he was put in charge/responsible for uploading to the dl section, but expect us to smack him around as he did sucha sloppy work and just CnP ing descriptions is something uncalled for

btw if its possible, can you remove the goblin blaster, the ninja and enforcer? I prefer to have them exclusively on one site :gsmile:
