i'll start by saying hello to everyone here! i'm quite new to the whole WC3 world editor, and actually, i'm rather new to the game itself, having just finished out the campaigns. i'm not looking to do anything too extreme with the map editor... well, no, that's a lie. i'm looking to re-create the Dragonlance story using the Warcraft program, and it seems pretty doable. while i may be new to WC3's editor, i was adept at the one for Starcraft, and made several campaigns and multi-mission RPG's. so, while i'm aware that there's certain to be huge differences in this, it seems like the basics are pretty much the same. i was going to start off by asking if anyone knows where to find a tutorial for this whole thing that doesn't read like a statistical readout, one that starts with the basics. 'twould be much appreciated. being that i don't have any other real in-depth questions just yet, i'll stop here, but all of you editor veterans will soon have your hands full, i'm sure. i'll be seeing you around! |

Also, if you want your Campaign to be more liked you will probably need to have custom skins and maybe models. There are people who can help you with this but then you have to post the idea in the Campaign discussion forum. Welcome! |

To add to the advice, scream loudly and curse whenever anyone disagrees with you. That way you'll blend. Anyway, have a nice stay. But don't try stealing the towels or the sheets. We count them. You've been warned. |
