how do I convert .gmax to .mdx or .mdl files?

you need to get Dex' exporter script for gmax, it should still be at the bottom of this tutorial:

also a converter, but you install this 1 into gmax

well, you CnP the entire data to a textfile and rename the textfile into *.mdl (*=whatever your name)

Then fix the skin its referring to =P

I did that, but i got some lame thingy:

i deleted the "headlights" and the lights on his back, made him al little less fat and made is gun like samus's.

but when i put the samus skin on it (wich i dl'led here) i get the lights and gun back

i tried installing the gmax thing... works but.... the wc art tools wont accept it...:bgrun: :mtk: :WD:

Art tools only work with 3D studio MAX not GMAX it says so in the first page of the documentation. 3DS is expensive so I'm guessing that not too many people can create content with it.(ahem) ;)

can someone teach me how to use gmax?
