Eeek sorry guys put my last thread in wrong forum...

Anyway if you haven't seen the screenshots in the other forum here they are for new Helm's Deep layout I've been working on the last couple of days.

Tell me if you like it or not :foot:

I'm also working on a Minas Tirith layout using the same strategy used to make this Helm's Deep layout.

That looks VERY good..but the wall seems to thin...
BTW I'm trying to make a Minas Tirith map too..but I feel like restarting since the terrain didn't work out that well...

The walls are actually rather thick, they just look thin because I have two rows of guys on them..

Here's a screenshot of the Minas Tirith map I'm working on, it obviously needs improvement...

Ok, heres my opinion, the wall and Helms deep look actually what I pictured when I read the book, but why where the Urk-Hai start there is nothing, why can't there be trees, or mountains, why does it have to be so plain, just a big plains, you should add vareity and put something believeable, otherwise I cant really see a probelm.

Phreaker, this map is based off of the movie (if you have ever seen it), not the book. And in the book I don't think there are any trees or anything in a stonghold built on a rocky mountainside.

I built that Minas Tirith map in about 10 minutes and splattered a bunch of doodads all over it =P Just a preview on what I will be trying to make

There are trees in the extended version of Lotr 2 towers, but not in the normal one they showed in theateres.

Those trees are from fangorn forest, they weren't there from the beginning. I'd probably put them in there as a cinematic at the end to show the uruk hai running out of helm's deep to get killed by the trees.
