I was wondering, if you made enough cameras and had them set at specific angles and trigger them to activate everytime a character entered an area, would you be able to make an Adventure game out of War3? Think of something along the lines of Final Fantasy games where running around different areas would have cameras set at a specific location. I think that would be an interesting setup to have, and you can basically play a game with more scripted events without worrying about what the players will see (or not see). Is this possible tho? |

I tried something to this effect once; it worked fairly well. The trouble is getting really good camera angles- you have to be sure there's some overlap between them, avoid putting things in areas the player has trouble clicking on, etc. It could work out pretty well in the end, I think. |

Good idea but you could also just lock camra to a unit and the just a just height, angel, ect via trigger. when it enters a reigon. |

And it stunk for me! You were behind your char in a closeup but you started on a hill, so the camera angle got messed up, and I couldn't click anywhere :D But oh well, thats me, probably not you. |
