lol i do box model, just occasionally i want to also put the poly in myself, cause it aint doin it the way i want... i dont know how to extract a unit outof the war3 mpq either (or where the mpq file is, or if thats even the file im supposed to extract it from) also how do i go about giving new animations names... plz answer these questions 2 EDIT: oh yea 1 more question, is there anyway to make directX handle MORE THAN JUST 1 application at a time :( gets really annoying when gmax says that war3 is using direct x and the screens get all fuxored :( also makes it so that i cant have world edit open when war3 is open, but war3 can open when world edit is (!?, y is that?!?) anyway it'd be nice if someone could help me fix this annoying prob (btw im running windows ME, dont know if thats the problem ME suckx :( |

well, just convert to editable mesh right click then go, create polygons and about Direct X, I have XP, the version od DX needed for wc3 and I can have My documents, Photoshop, 3dsmax, WE, Wc3 Internet, Grand Theft Auto, HL and Notepad all at the same time, so I dont see why ME should do much worse than that |

Does that work in gmax? Cause if, you first have to go into vertex mode and create vertices ("Points") where you want them. Then you go into polygon mode and click create polygon and click all the "Points". Then you should have a new polygon... |

hey guys.. im uh running into another more immediate problem. Forget that i dont know how to import it, i cant even figure out how to uvmap it or anything... im clueless, forget the DirectX thing, its not really a big problem, just have 2 save b4 i start playing war3. EDIT: oh duh, i just opened gmax and tryed 2 creat a poly, im an idiot, all u have 2 do is select faces as thing 2 edit, and click creat in geometry, and click on the 3 points... its a nobrainer lol, anyway help on uvmaping would be much appreciated. EDIT2: uh, actually, as well as that does work (/doesn't) um, since i am doing it that way, how do i tell it which way i want the face to point! it seems random 2 me, and is annoying **** outa me. thx for help |
