Here's the newest version of the Obj->Mdx converter!

http://home.insightbb.com/~m.dorothy/ObjToMdx.zip

There's a two new options available now...

1) Add Model To MPQ- Proceed to type in the .obj pathname, and the .mdx filename into the main converter dialog. Click on 'file', 'Add Model To MPQ'. This will bring up a dialog box, type in the .mpq that you want to add the model to, and the pathname to the model INSIDE the .mpq. Then click insert, and the file will be added.

2) Texture Pathname- You can change the texture pathname for the models now. Click on 'Textures', then 'Texture Pathname...'. This will bring up a new dialog box with a 'Pathname' parameter. Type in the pathname to the .blp (it should be something like the default...). Then click 'ok' to set the pathname. The pathname will then be saved into the .mdx when you save the file.

That's it for now, expect particle generators for the next release. =)

Happy moding!

still does not appear to work with a lot of files. :/

Doesn't work with a lot of files?

You mean none-Wavefront files that it DOESN'T support?

I'd assume the import function works for w3m files just as well? Anyway, good work.

KMK- I'm pretty sure that it will work for w3m files, but I don't know since I haven't been able to test it.

it doesn't convert obj extracted with your MDX text Editor, OBJs eported from aztec, OBJs exported from that other extractor.... etc.

Yes it does, you're not doing something right if it isn't working.

I think that you have to put it in an already existing folder. I heard that new ones don't work.

You can save it to a new file and a new directory...

Try changing the texture pathname.

Alright, it's re-uploaded to the same link, and I fixed the texture problem (hopefully).

Thanks for noticing that, guys.
