The New Nethlava: The Great War

You might notice in my signature the finished percent of my map Nethlava: Elf and Dwarf. Unfortunately, I recently lost everything on my computer, so that percent has been brought down to 0%. Well, instead of starting that over and recreating something that i'm not even sure would be worth it, i've decided to make a new kind of map based sort of on the same idea. Instead of having a melee map with new races (which is what Nethlava was), I decided to have a more scenario type map. Here's my idea so far, at it's roughest form.


Imagine this. Two super-powers are at war for reasons none could explain. The whole of the Elven race, against all of the Dwarven empire. Each bastion would start off with a command center, and a hero of who represents the leader of that specific side. Then, 3 players on each side get a hero representing a general for each army. I'll have to brainstorm more to add more elements to this idea, but that's that for now ://// I was thinking of having computer-owned units of whom the generals lead to battle, depending on how well that could be pulled off.

There would be a few territories that make up the map. Take over a territory, and you gain an advantage of units. I'm thinking more of the warcraft risk style, rather than the zone control style.

All right, I know that wasn't a very detailed post, but, as I said before, this is my idea in it's roughest form. I have more ideas that I'd rather not list here for a few reasons. But that leads me to the whole point of this post. TEAM MEMBERS WANTED!! I'm not exactly an advance map maker at the moment, but I have some good ideas. Right now, I need help with the whole concept of it. I plan on doing most of it, since I know it's hard to get other people devoted to someone else's ideas. But anyone who has good ideas for a map they haven't used or anything like that, I could definetly use your help. As far as the storyline goes, I don't need much help with that. If you're really into storylines, however, let me know and you can help me sort it out more. Thanks guys! Just let me know if you're interested .:WD:
