Hello, fellow Warcraft III campaign makers. I've formulated an idea for an exciting and largely undead based campaign called "The Promontory of Life" (NOTE: Promontory is defined as the tip of something haning over an abyss. In the title of this campaign, it refers to the "Edge of Life") The campaign is based in the Twisted Nether, home to the demons of old. It follows a civil war between the rebellious Dreadlords and the forces of the demon Archimonde. The civil war escalates beyond the Nether, to the still largely undead kingdom of Lordaeron, where warfare will start up in full force once more. Lordaeron humans join the fight to protect their homelands, it makes for an exciting tri-war between Dreadlords, Demons, and Humans. Even the elves, interested in the fate of those evil beasts, may interfere with the conflict. Now, I am essentially a unit/spell editor and a terrainer, plus a bit of trigger work. I have need of a good skinner and a good terrainer, plus a good trigger man. Also all members will be expected to contribute with ideas and suggestions. You can contact me at [email protected], but please add something about Warcraft in the title of the email. |

Excellent, welcome aboard New-born. I will send you my plan for the levels in the campaign and a light terrain description. Level 1: The Dreadlord's Rise(The dreadlords discuss their rebellion plans with Tichondrius. Black Citadel tileset preferrably...Dungeon works too. Be creative in the creation of the Dreadlord's Citadel. I will send you more details via email) Level 2: Tichondrius the Deceiver(Tichondrius battles Archimonde's forces for the first time in one of the pits of Mannoroth. Dungeon, Black Citadel, or Outland tileset preferrably. Making the Pit should be interesting. I should think the entire pit is a series of connection pits, each a level lower than the last. Use your imagination. Level 3: Archimonde's Counterstrike(Archimonde's demons strike at the Dreadlord's Black Citadel. Most of the fighting will be around its walls and outer areas, sort of like a Helm's Deep battle. Interlude: Archimonde's Defeat(Takes place somewhere in Archimonde's own fortress. Use Black Citadel or Dungeon tileset preferrably.) Level 4: Kil'Jaeden(Kiljaeden intervenes and pushes the Dreadlords out of the Nether and into Lordaeron. The Dreadlords make their stand outside of the portal in Stromguarde.Definitely Cityscape or Dalaran tilesets. Again, creativity is encouraged.) Level 5: Battle for Dalaran(The Dreadlords are pushed back and resist at Dalaran. They use the magics of the former human inhabitants to hold off the demons until the dreadlord's forces can flee through a portal. Dalaran tileset most definitely.) Level 6: Sylvanas(Sylvanas decides to use the Forsaken to aid the last stand of the Dreadlords at the Human Capital City. Dreadlords and the Forsaken win, but now the Human Resistance enters the mix right after the battle. Then the Dreadlords must defeat Lord Arcanus and his humans to win the scenario. Tilest should be cityscape I believe. Yet another city for you to design.):ggani: Level 7: The Final Blow(The Dreadlords finally push Kiljaeden out of Azeroth and though they will never claim the nether as their own, the dreadlords settle into the former lands of Quel Thalas to rebuild an empire. Use village or Lordaeron Fall tileset. Have fun with it." Finale: Reconstruction(Ends the story with the humans reclaiming all of Lordaeron. A huge celebration takes place in the Capital City, then the scene switches to Quel Thalas and a few ominous words from the Dreadlords. Tileset should probably be Cityscape. Frostigt, this campaign is based on the idea that perhaps the Dreadlords were not happy with their treatment under Archimonde and desired more power. |

Alright, the ball is rolling. I'm currently experimenting with unit and spell ideas. Once you get the terrain for level 1, I'll apply the spells, units, and begin working with the triggers. Good luck to you Newborn. |
