| - No spamming - This includes blatant spamming (e.g. posting 'spam'), useless posts, off-topic posts, or any other form of posting solely for points.
- No flaming - This includes blatant flaming (e.g. 'STFU U N00BISH SH*T!!!!!!'), abusive language, derogatory remarks (e.g. 'Oh my god you're stupid'), or expressions of extreme distaste towards another individual.
- No 'what should I make' threads - These threads are quite simply a waste of space. Decide for yourself what you want to make. If you are capable of creating Warcraft 3 maps, then you are capable of independant decision making.
- No map-type opinion polls - They should go to the Off Topic forum.
- Use the sub-forums correctly - Threads about a map you have made should go in the Completed Maps forum. Threads about a map you are making (including screenshots) should go in the Maps in Development forum. If you have created a trigger that you want to show off, put in the the Trigger and Utility Repository.
- No Smilie abuse - One or two smilies are useful, and can help get a point across, but 200 of them just lags up the viewer's computer. Wc3Campaigns is nice enough to let you use smilies, so don't repay it by over-using them for the hell of it. I will edit out any smiley abuse that I see.
- No image abuse - If you want to upload an image for a another purpose, use the Sig/Wc3 Image - Hosting Thread in the Off-Topic forum. Signiture images should go there too. If you are posting a screenshot with a purpose, go ahead, but don't post images for no reason other than to annoy people. If you want to post a trigger use the Copy as text feature. I will edit out any image abuse that I see.
- No font size abuse - Don't post in a huge font size. All it does is make your post harder to read. I will remove any font size abuse that I see.
- Don't over - use CAPS Lock - Use it to punctuate your sentences. Use it to make a word or phrase stand out. But DON'T type an entire post with it on.
- No trolling - Trolling is a deliberate attempt by the poster to get someone angry and to react badly. It is just as bad as flaming, and will be treated as such.
- No warez - Talking about it will get the thread moved to the Warez Logging Forum and the poster has a good chance of getting banned. Posting Warez will get you banned without warning.
- No porn/images containing sexual content - This is a games site. If someone wants to look at this, they can go the the millions of other sites on the internet containing it. A large number of the people here are under-age, and shouldn't see this stuff. This will get you banned.
- No double posting - This is another form of spam. If you left something out of a post, use the Edit button.
- Bumping is bad - You are allowed to bump a post once, and only after a long time since the last post. This isn't a chat room, so don't expect responses within a few minutes.
- No advertising - Warcraft3Campaigns is a free website with no advertisements or pop-ups. Keep it that way.
- Read the FAQ - If you have a non-specific question, look in one of the FAQs. If you have TFT, look in the TFT WE FAQ, and if you have RoC look in the RoC WE FAQ.
- Use Search - Before you post, do a search to see if their is already what you're looking for.
- Post titles should be easily understandable - Nobody is going to look at a thread titled 'ARG LOL LOL F*KING M4P n00t woRk!!!??? LOL'.
- Try to use good english - If you aren't a native Engish speaker, there is leaway, but if you can speak fluent English, use it. It makes your post much easier to understand.
- Color abuse - I am increasingly seeing threads in which people have colored entire paragraphs, or worse, entire posts. Don't. Colors make a post harder to read, and are entirely un-necessary.
- Thread Necromancy - Look at the date a thread was last posted on. If its more then 3 months old; don't post on it again, but instead make a new one. Reviving ancient threads should not be done. All 'raised' threads will be closed and allowed to once again die.
- Reputation Spamming - Negative reputation is for people who flame, say stupid things; not for people of whom you don't agree with. Also, I have noticed people who yell at moderators for moving threads or things that are part of their job. Don't.
Doing any of the above will result in reprimands. Please, for everyone's sake, try to keep them in mind when you post.
