Hey thats neat. Not sure if blizz will do it though. You will have to get a lot of signitures in a short time, then send it in, otherwise blizzard will be too far in making it and too late to convert it.

I don't think this will change anything actually. Big game companies tend to ignore petitions, especially online ones (they can be easily falsified, and an online signature is worth nothing) A good example of this is starmen.net: they sent 20,000 signatures to nintendo/ape so that they would start working on the sequel of Earthbound again, and nintendo/ape never even replied.

Seriously. People have tried many kinds of online petitions with Blizzard before (most of 'em for SC2) but none of them have ever worked.

If the game is any good, I'm sure they'll port it eventually.

Personally I couldn't care less.

Why would Blizzard make SC:G a NON-console game? I hope you realize a new PC Blizz game (even if it was different genre) would crush in ever-so-flowing WC3 sales, which is still very young. It's a business decision they had to make.

It's pretty smart on their part if you ask me. They're remaining active, but expanding into different areas. Thus, their income will be greater than ever before, and keep making new games :)

WC3 will be dead and gone by then, but it would affect WoW sales. Blizzard is just expanding it's territory and reaching new people... it's not like they forgot about us :P Stay tuned for sc2

People, if you're going to do this-

SIGN YOUR REAL NAME.

An online pseudonym is not going to hold any sway whatsoever.

This is a PETITION, not a 1337 G4/\/\3R ranking.

Go here, scroll down, and read Gabe's post. I call this the lone voice in the desert, and I, for one, whole-heartedly agree.

.....im sure this game will be very good.... is there a game with blizzard's name on it that isn't?

edit: i read gabe's post on that link i agree too.... like how the newb dupers ruined D2 and then ppl said it was good that duping existed because more ppl came on bnet...... 1, for one, would rather not play with ppl who lag the sh*t out of b.net.... anyways i agree with the other dude......

That's very misguided. It's not a time issue, it's a genre issue. Why do you think StarCraft stayed alive for so long? It's because there was no RTS by Blizzard to knock it out... 'till WarCraft. Look what happened. What do you think would happen if SC2 was released, history repeats.

Blizzard's name has gone on some pretty crappy things: All their PC to console ports of yore. Have you ever actually played SC64?!

BTW, they list Nihilistic software as their 'co-developer' and of 'vampire the masquerade fame.' Now I'm sorry, but I played vampire all the way through and it was by far one of the crappiest games I have ever played. Not only did they bastardize the pen and paper version according to alot of ppl (I have not played that though), the game's combat is drudgery and boring, the story is short and stupid (3 characters just up and disappear :P), and the dialog choices in the game MADE ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE AS TO THE OUTCOME. Didn't matter what you said, the same thing always ended up happening. It was....dumb. Oh yeah, and did I mention you couldn't save except at save points until the patch? Yeah, THAT was frustrating.

They say a former blizz guy is on the nihlistic team....hopefully he wasn't there when they were making vampire :P

Luckily I think Blizz's involvement will help give the game some hmph....but I'm really skeptical.

Gabe also overstates the hacking problem as a whole I think. D2 is still relatively fun to play.
