Couple of questions about items

Thanks u guys for the help before. I wasn't doing it wrong the "Torch" just didn't show up on units.

Thats my first question. How do i know what will show up as an item model on a unit when i use the orb technique so its holding it. Is it just that doodads can't be held?

2. Has anyone got any ideas as to what i can add to my item to give it the ability to damage units over time that are attacked. I tried the orb of vemon ability thing but that didnt work. I'll go see whats wrong there. Any hints will help.

3.Also i just figured out that my starting credits in letterbox mode actually make my game lose their portraits. I turned it off and they all came back!! This isn't really an item question but anyone know why?

4. Is it possible to take away a units weapon when an item weapon gose onto the unit so u can just see the unit.

5. Is it possible to edit a doodads, units model then use that as an item thing to attach to the model/ can u find a pathname to it?

I have a feeling this could be caused by a cinematic-transmission type action. If that doesnt end, you won't see your portraits because the tranmission portrait is using it.
