Story Forum Rules

Now that we have the anticipated story forum, here are the rules that go along with it.

1) Keep all stories and writings in relation to Warcraft III or campaigns for this site. Nothing completely off topic.

2) No flaming. Flaming is the act of blatanly insulting someone. There is never any need to flat out insult anyone. If someone flames you, report it and the person will get what they deserve.

3) No trolling. Trolling is the act of trying to make someone up, andry, or reply with a flame. Trolling is just as bad as flaming.

4) No spamming. Spamming is the act of posting anything without a real meaning. This includes threads and individual posts.

5) Please make and and all criticism constructive. Posts such as "your story sucks" is not acceptable and does not help anyone.

We'll see how this forum works out and if we need to the rules will be updated. If the forum grows large enough a moderator or two will be assigned, but please do not go wild pm'ing me asking to be a moderator. The right time will come =D

So this forum will be a place to post campaigns scripts for peer editing.
Good, I've been looking for a good excuse to write up a story for my cinematic.

Also note that stupid stories will be removed. Not badly written stories, just absolutely retarded ones. Meh, you know wat I mean. :D

So this is no place to share stories unrelated to WC3. And I was just about to share a few details of my own. *sigh*

add an off-topic story subforum, like the off topic art gallery, so we can all express all of our stories, not just war3 ones

Not right now. Maybe after a while and this forum gets up and running.

Does this mean I can post stories related to The Ruins Saga?

While originally posted in the Mature Discussion forum back when it existed, a story of mine was moved here by a mod. It's not WC3 related, which was why I didn't post it here to begin with.

I realy think that a subforum is needed, that will atract more people here, and it will be easier to delet retarted\lame stories ^_^

Indeed, I just popped in this forum, and I just keep seeing "Another story about Warcraft". When making a Warcraft story, It's hard to get in the skin of your character, and it's therefore hard to make something good. It would be better if this forum could mix both Warcraft-related and non-Warcraft-related stories without a subforum, just all-in-one.
Anyway everyone already posts some non-Warcraft-related stories here...

Before you read my rating, know that I use different scales in order to have a global rating out of 100 that takes in consideration all important parts more than the others.

Script: 1/15 — Construct the script a bit. You can't just throw in 5 points in here.

Imagination: 0/10 — Which imagination?

Descriptions: 0/20 — My cat can make better description

Writing skill: 1/10 — At least I did not see any typo. The style is too formal.

Action: 0/15 — There is as much action in here than in Wormskulls' head.

Humor: 0/20 — Are you writing a letter to the president or what? No single humoristic remark, all formal crap.

Transposition of the author: 0/10 — Please be INSIDE your story before you write it


Global rating: 2/100 - Conclusion: You can't put rules in a story like that
