You know the function used in the orc campaign? Well I heard we can use it now in our map and I want to know if we should take this path.

We could have several map based on terrain area(such as snow, forest, cave...). This would make map size lower and this would let us have more tileset than before. There would be map bound restriction because when the map is too big, we just have to make another.

I didnt downloaded the patch right now but as soon as I get it I will check what all we can do with this great patch.

Forgot a "small" bad side. Have to remake the terrain. But I will copy paste useable part.

Now the question is how big a map should be(in size or bound)?

A city = 1 map, A forest = 1 map, A cave = 1 map...
Or is it better to work with region like desert, snow...

Which size do you think is better: 96x96, 128x128 or else?

Why don't you just go with different places for each different map? or you could do something like have a huge world map, and you can enter different parts of it- for example, you enter a town and a new map loads, or you enter a forest, etc. Just tossing out thoughts.

Was wondering if I should work with a main map(world map) then everthing else is a sub-map of it. The problem is that the map must be very big and i wont be able to have as many tileset as i wanted.

I think I will split the world map in smaller map so I can have different tileset for each region.

i think if u could get a world map to work it could potentionally be very very cool

think about FF though, the characters on the map are like as big as a city, so i dont think size would be that big of an issue if the side maps were detailed enough

plus you can make a decent terrain with the limited pallete they give u

make one map a worldmap like final fantasy tactics, then when you enter a reigon, it exits and sends you to the individual maps? just an idea!

okay im finalizing the triggering for game cache. Working on smaller map will speed up the work for terraining. We can be several working on the project at a time now.

I will continue on the battle system soon but im doing some terrain for now to show up some work.

I finished my system and now its time to redo everyting I had done in the past month since the maps got currupted because of the patch 1.13

Im working on the new version of the battle system and its going faster than I though. In one day I got the initialization trigger of the battle, the multiboard and the ATB system to work.

I will try to finish the victory check and I will start working on the many action of the project(I almost finished normal attack).
