Question about a very cool move! Just cant think of this!

Ok. im making this cinematic. As you may know, its sposed to top The Vision, which was overly Hyped. But i ran into a Stop sign. There is a part Where Kent'el(bloodmage) casts a spell on Nef'ules(Lich), which will look like this. The Numbers represent the order the Phoniex fire-Mark of Chaos falls. The X is Kent'el. How do i make Sfx like this, With out regions? I just dont wanna have to deal with all that.

Like that. In .10 or .25 wait intervals. The flaming O represent the lich. Cuz its going to hit the lich with the end of it with the Flame Strike SFX> Now i think i got most of it...Thanks for any help. The cutscene will defenitly be out before New Years. Or at least the 6th. Good-Day

Use Convert Polar Coordinates to Location or something like that, can't remember exact name. Anyway it just means you specify a degree, and a magnitude, and it goes magnitude far out in direction degree. So use a loop to have it make like a circle. Meh, it's late.

I would do it somethnig like this
Variables SpellDegree and SpellDist are initialized at 200 and 140 respectively.

Actions:
For loop integer 1-12
If cond- Math-modulus loop integer A =0
then action- Set var SpellDegree = SpellDegree - 20
Set var SpellDist = SpellDist +10
create spell effect at position of triggering unit offset by SpellDist in SpellDegree angle
else action- create spell effect at position of triggering unit offset by SpellDist in Arithmetic-(SpellDegreex-1) angle

What this does is create a loop that changes the SpellDegree and SpellDist every other loop (thats what the modulus condition is for). Actually the spell degree bit is bugged because it'll create the right side flame line in the opposite quadrant, but umm it's late and ill try to take a look at this again tomorrow. Just hope i've given you an idea about how to do it.

Use a loop from 1 to 5 or so and two variables. Have the first be distance from caster, the second angle from caster.

Pseudocode(I don't have the editor open):
Code:
Set angleOffset=75  //You can manipulate that to adjust the effect
Set distanceOffset=30 //Also manipulatable
For i = 1 to 5
     Create special effect at location of casting unit offset at distanceOffset by (angle between casting unit and targeted unit + angleOffset) degrees
    Set specialEffect1=last created special effect
    set angleOffset=angleOffset-15
    set distanceOffset=distanceOffset+40 //You'll have to change that so it hits the target
    Wait .5 or so seconds
    Destrot specialEffect1
