Permanant Banish?

Hello all. I am creating a map where when a hero dies he can become a ghost. I figured the way I can make them look ghostlike was to use banish. However the buff is just a little green ball, and I am not getting the proper ghosty look. Any idea how to permanantly banish my poor dead heros, or at least make them look ghostlike?

with the new buff editor couldn't you just alter that?

Give the hero the Ghost ability.

Why not give the hero the Ethereal ability?

make a trigger that gives the hero the ethreal ability, that is basicly banish untill you remove the ability.

I think it'd be great if someone could get the effect that Kel'Thuzad (Ghost) has on him. I'm pretty sure that it isn't a special effect (or rather, that it's exclusive to his model), but if someone could isolate it from his model so that it may be used as a special effect it'd be great. :ggani:

its a particle effect and .mdl editing, so it cant really be isolated, just use a combo of the banish SFX attached via a trigger or item ability and the ethreal ability.

For several things in Warcraft 3, if you change the duration or quantity to 0, it instead becomes permanent.

Try it. It might not work, but it might.
