Errgh, just bumped into a snag. In 1.12, you could add Item Bonuses, like Item Damage Bonus or Item Life Bonus, as often as you like, and each giving would stack. It does not appear to be that way in 1.13 - you can give another copy of +1 damage, let's say, but it no longer stacks. I had intended on using this property. Anybody know a way to work around this? |

That's why my spell started mysteriously giving only +20... Well, damn... Can you stack mult. dmg bonuses of different amounts? Like instead of 30 from 15, 15, you would do 20, 10. Would that work? |

Bwood said he was suprised to know this abuse worked before hand. This is how it was intended to work, unfortuantly. |

So what, they want to make it a pain the *** for mapmakers to do +damage? |

Abuse? Vexorian Hero Arena got Completely Screwed from this, Completely. (the whole special ability system and one of the main rules) They could at least make add damage / armor triggers after "fixing this issue" , I am starting to hate this patch. Edit: Since a lot of projects might be "abusing" this as well I am going to sticky this. |

A small fix I think: Make a custom "Damage +x" ability and then change it so it gives +however much damage. |

Dragon: That only works if you're going to only give a set amount of damage once. This has put back the release of AoS: The Hordes of Darkness a few months. 'Abuse'? I've been using that to create level-upable units. How else am I supposed to do it? First the hidden driver, now this? I though patches were meant to do good. |

The JASS people found a function to make abilities permanent something like AbilityMakePermanent or something, theorically it would make spells stackable (the function is in common.j) |

There is also an tome ability which adds a permant attack bonus which works just fine for a hero arena where you want to add a damage bonus. (pro-tip disable the graphic) The tome is probably the best bet really as it doesn't even have the annoying green text. Heres a list of permanant abilities incrementors incase you didn't know: Xp,level, agi, str, int, attack,hp Heres a list of things we don't have a perm ability incrementor for Mana, armor, hp regen rate, mp regen rate, attack rate (well technically these can be gotten around with the agi str and int but still) |

Are you sure there is a tome of attack? I never seen it, (unless it is a new 1.13 feature) |

Yes there is, if you look around in the item abilities you will come across something called "Tome of Damage" or something like that. |

Instead of giving them an ability give them a power up item which is instantly consumed, or you can try adding the tome ability but you need to cast it for it to activate it. |

Ah shit this sucks, no stacking of them now? Why wouldn't they keep it that way?? |

It was an unintended bug that slipped through. Anyway with the exception of mana, and armor there is no real need or concern. |
