Guest | Hate to be a bother, but could someone pass me along a link to the spell/ability editing world editor that I hear so much about? I can't find a single link to it anywhere. If you could just post the link here, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm getting a bit frustrated after three days of searching, so I turned to the forum. |

Guest | Not true... You can't even change a thing. |

How dare you say Confucious is wrong! Man who insult elder is man who die by caneing! There are slk files you must edit and import. I don't believe a world edit mod has\can implant an editor. But, alas, I do not know which files to edit. |

Guest | Yes, this is true, but Confucius also say... Man who make Confucius joke and not asian speak very, very bad Engrish. All I know is that I don't have the most up to date world editor and can't seem to find it anywhere. Someone post it! I'm getting impatient on my new project >.<! |

Guest | Simple=>multipalyer maps=>cant edit spells through slk editing, as they wont be loaded at all, only spell name changes/apearances can be cahnged Note: by using triggers you ARE able to change the spell effect. For examp,e, ZZzz, changed the earthquake spell into timestop spell. As long as you know lots of triggers, you can virtually do anything Modding=>edit abilitydata.slk with excell |

Guest | I'm sure that what you said about triggers is true. However, I'm not the best at triggers, but I do know enough to make cinematics and such. How would I edit the spells/abilities looks/names through the triggering? Another thing that strikes me is that I don't have an "abilitydata.slk" file anywhere on my computer. I'm sure this won't affect my gaming, but this proves yet again that I do not have the latest world editor version. If there is one that isn't done by you, Cookie, which has the "abilitydata.slk", then I'll take it. If you have a more up to date version than "Blink!" then I'll take it. I posted this topic so I could get a new world editor and it's turned into a conversation about whether or not you can edit them at all. This could all be solved by a link. ( at least for me... ) |

pointless adding it in WE, as it wont load as Ive stated before. Thats whyt eh slightest chance on a Wrld Editor that can edit spells fades awa becuase its impossible |

Cookie, the other day I played a map with spells which had their icons and descriptions changed. It works. |

I think he's saying that if you try and mod WE to allow skill name moding, WE will delete raceabilityfunc or raceabliitystrings as soon as you change it. Just import the files, it's not that hard. |

Oh! Which files do I import? |

Guest | I actually meant Abilitydata.slk, this mean the core file of spell data. Having a spell editor that can change spell appearance is doable though. Note: edit (race)abilityfunc.txt and (race)abilitystring.txt and import in map |
