Hello all, im VERY happy tonight at almost 1am, i have just done my first dip into Jass, and it worked! If any of u have tried, Multiboard shi* with UMSWE 4 no longer works... if you want to make a different multiboard show up for each player in a game u must now use a method that goes somewhat like this...

1) creat a multiboard array. i would suggest that u make it 1 larger than the actuall number of players, because even though this wastes space, it makes it much easier (no adding -1s to all your values...)

2) use this trigger after you have initialized your multiboards (unless u want to moddify my trigger, i would suggest u make it before 7 seconds of game time have elapsed, cause thats when my trigger fires, u can modify if u want, but w/e

trigger:
function Trig_Untitled_Trigger_002_Actions takes nothing returns nothing
call MultiboardDisplayBJ( true, udg_Player_Resorce_Boards[GetConvertedPlayerId(GetLocalPlayer())] )
endfunction

//===========================================================================
function InitTrig_Untitled_Trigger_002 takes nothing returns nothing
set gg_trg_Untitled_Trigger_002 = CreateTrigger( )
call TriggerRegisterTimerEventSingle( gg_trg_Untitled_Trigger_002, 7.00 )
call TriggerAddAction( gg_trg_Untitled_Trigger_002, function Trig_Untitled_Trigger_002_Actions )
endfunction

uhh... if you dont already know, u gotta make sure that the trigger has the same name as what this referances, so make sure the name of the trigger is Untitled Trigger 002, again unless you want to modify that code. however if you know how to use jass at all, really only thing u would prob wanna scavanger from this is this line. call MultiboardDisplayBJ( true, udg_Player_Resorce_Boards[GetConvertedPlayerId(GetLocalPlayer())] ) . Thats the magic right there :P, makes the multiboard only show up for the person whose screen its on (that sentance doens't make much sence, but i dont know how to word it better :(_)

anyway i hope this helps people who are working with multiboards for first time, and wanna use them to show a player his statistics, but not show same multiboard for everyone. Cheers!

Yeah...in an earlier post...LegolasArcher told you to do just that...so...it's not "magic"...it's called you pretending that you've found out something new that many people already seem to know. :nono: Stealing credit is not cool.

Not exactly uber-useful. Seperate player multiboards are prety easy. And stealing credit isn't cool.

guys, i wasn't trying 2 steal credit! stop always thinking worst of people! lol i have been asking help from legolas, and he pointed me in right direction, but i DID find the stuff by self in end, he just told me it had something 2 do with local player. and if you go and check yourself, u will have 2 do same editing i did to make it work, cause the function is different in new WE.

Oh, and this was a post for people who want 2 know, not that already do, i know many people know how to do this stuff, just i haven't found it posted anywhere, so i thought id try to help some noobs out... well i guess that isn't appreciated, just a bunch of flameing crack whores read my posts :(

EDIT:

Set Item column X row Y (X & Y are what you want to set) on Multiboard[Player Index of Local player]

QD btw um, u try to do that without jass will ya? then come back and tell me i stole.... u cant u flamer.

Hey, I'd watch your mouth. That setup wasn't mine, that's what Legolas posted. I was quoting him. I never said I could do it; I merely quoted what Legolas posted. So, I suggest you take your bad attitude and shove it up your ***. :D
