People plz anybody knows meaning of Softwaremidi and nomidi values in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III\Sound

I can't test it, but this is what I think it means:
nomidi: Disables MIDI sound in WC3. Some environmental effects in WC3 are midi.
softwaremidi: If this is enabled, WC3 uses a software "renderer" for midi. Otherwise it uses a Hardware device (if available) to play midi sound.

You can set these values with War3Config too.

Why do you ask in that way then?

I´have no idea how to test these values (turning MIDI off can be tested, but the Hardware stuff).

Because it should work. There are some settings, which I didn't add, cause I have no idea what they do or I have tested that they don't work.

Proove that they don't work and I'll remove them.

To my mind it`s some kind of support for low end sound cards
