I'm sorry that this is a frequently asked question, but I've read other posts on how to do this and I'm still not getting it... So I'm going to describe everything I'm doing exactly. I'm trying to use the Goblin Blaster model(From the Downloads section) in my map. So, I loaded up my map, went to import manager, and imported all the files that were in the downloaded folder. I changed the path of Chassis.blp to: Units\GoblinBlaster\GoblinBlaster.blp (The readme file told me to change chassis to GoblinBlaster) I changed the path of thread.blp to: Units\GoblinBlaster\thread.blp I changed the path of GoblinBlaster.mdx to: Units\GoblinBlaster\GoblinBlaster.mdx Then, I went to the Object Editor and made a new custom unit based off of the Siege Engine. I set the model to: Units\GoblinBlaster\GoblinBlaster.mdl (Why did it change mdx to mdl? I tried making it mdx but it kept automatically changing every time) I set the interface icon to: Units\GoblinBlaster\GoblinBlaster.blp I wasn't sure what to do with thread.blp. I'm guessing that is my problem... Whenever I tried to place the custom unit on the map, it would just appear as a big green checkered box. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? |

See there, that's where you're wrong. It meant to change the war3imported\ to GoblinBlaster, so it should be this: Units\GoblinBlaster\Chassis.blp The .mdx to .mdl is normal, nothing is wrong with it... and: You gotta import the thread.blp and make the custom path Units\GoblinBlaster\thread.blp ! |
