Hi, i want my hero to have a burrow skill with 5 levels. I am using the scorpion model ( neutral one of tileset icecrown). Anyone got a clue how i can limit the time the creature burrows and how i can raise the health regeneration rate while burrowed ? I want that the health regeneraton rate also increases from level to level. ...... i don't even have a clue how to make it...plz help me out |

u have to have 2 different heros... 1 for the actual hero, and one for the burrowed hero... if that dont work, change some strings.. |

urghs ...i don't understand a word... why 2 heroes ? hö ? |

cause you need an alternate hero to be the burrowed unit... and the other the actual unit, just give them the same abilities and stats and such. |

1 alternate hero.... and some variables because the player might not learn that skill until later, ex. he may skip some levels to learn other spells, the variables are suppose to reset the burrowed hero to the hero's current stats |

Why not add the burrow ability to the hero..? Then what you do is to tell the hero to use it, then to unburrow whenever your trigger-time has expired. Regards Dead-Inside |

Dead-Inside is right. You can just use the normal ability 'Burrow'. I am almost sure it is possible and working. The Cryptlord (Undead Hero) has an animaton to burrow hisself. (No burrowed animation though) |

Quoted from Fladian Quote:
what??? you said that he has an animation, but no animation, that doesnt make sense, please review what you type. i think what your trying to say is that if he uses the burrow skill, you will see him actually try and burrow, but doesnt have a burrowed model, you can just use the cryptlord burrowed model, its just a pile of un-earthed dirt. |

... No burrow animation, the whole burrowing process has an animation, not the burrowed part. Meaning when he IS burrowed, it has nothing to do with the actual units animations since it's 'below ground' and the effect given is the abilities creations, not the units. Sometimes it's simpler then it seems ;). Regards Dead-Inside |

i tried giving burrow to my crypt lord once, although he burrowed, then came back up almost immediatley, althoguh the spell still said "un burro". |

The Crypt Lord has a "burrow" and "unburrow" animation, but no "burrowed" animation. As a result, upon burrowing he switches over to his "channeling" animation. I really wish they had kept a burrowed animation on him. It would make things so much easier. Even if we set the second hero to have a Crypt Fiend model for the burrowed graphic, we still get the Fiend's portrait, and that just ruins it. :( |

Hehe, sorry everyone, I guess I was pretty unclear in what I said. I meant just like you and the others said. He has a 'Burrow' and a 'Unburrow' animation but he has no underground/burrowed animation. But I guess it could be switched with the one of the cryptfiend. Sorry for being unclear. |
