dex? or art tools?

Using the dex to export listener, ive had various problems:
loss of some of the groups
the animations dont show up

heres what i did:
made model
make stand animation 1-960(960 fps for war3 engine i think)
and made a walk animation 961-1500

then put animations in on the dex, print to listener, view listener, CnP the stuff, erased "Export Sucessful!"
but in war3 viewer, problems occur like loss of groups and animations

Art tools
How do you specify b4 you export which frames are which animations?

ProFeT
go in dopesheet, and select in the left panel "objects" (with the top of the list of the mesh)
and add a notetrack.

then add 2 key (start and end keys) select both, right click, type:

Stand (add " if the name of animation comprise more than 1 word => "Stand - 1")

to export model with art tools materials need to be Warcraft type and bones need to be flagged as "bone" in utility pannel (look documentation of blizzard)

meshes need to have beziers, linear or tcb controllers too.

hum, now always use art tools. :gsmile:

For this animation, all I was using was Fire effect on gizmos, and a noise controller.

art tools is great and has everything you need, the documentation for it though is not so good. war3 engine is 30 fps for models ( so the art tools doc tells me) if you import a mdx from wc3 however and it shows 900+ fps and 10000+ frames.. this is a prob with the importer u are using i'd say. :-) read and re read the art tools docs.

I'm a newcomer to wc3 editing, but here is some stuff i'm working on.

this image shows the anim data in note tracks as specified in art tools.

30? That's good to hear.

Instead of autokeying, i could do set key now, for more acuracy.

btw, nice avatr maruka. did you study human movements for it? or just watch too much tv? :ggani:
