i was wonderin, if anybody would want to see a Deus Ex: Invisible War mod? i was thinking about makin it after i finished the Last Crane.... [edit] hmmm some people don't know wat Deus Ex is. well, its set in the future, wher people hav begun experimenting on humans, and modifying their bodies in wat is known as "Biomodification". a Small group of people are the targets of this test (see my avatar for the main character). These "trainees" are primarily used for anti-terrorist reasons, so its like the future war on terror. in the Xbox game, u hav to use stealth, and gunblazing action to stay alive. Its an excellent game, and i just might make a mod...:D |

I think you'd better tell us how you can recreate a futuristic, intricately created FPS-RPG in a fantasy RTS game. |

Here's an idea, create something SET in the Deus Ex universe, rather then copying the game. Then you can make it exactly how you want. I'd go for a traditional single-player RPG minus the constant hack and slash. Give the player options to fight or not, maybe have instant Shadowmeld as a "cloak suit" or something similar. Bio mods could act as skills, but when you level up, you can't increase them with skill points, you can only increase your stats (str, int, agi). You increase skills by just using "biomod" canisters. Like the game, they are permanent. Example- You find an "Speed" mod. Level one makes you go .5 times faster, level two; twice as fast, and level 3; 2.5 times faster. You find a second Speed canister, and level up your skill by 1, which increases that ability when used. You could use mana as bioelectric energy. As for skins, models, etc... ignore that. This is art intensive, but you WILL fail if you try and get all the skins, models, whatever. Focus on terrain, gameplay and triggers FIRST. Please? Need anymore ideas, swordman? you know where I am. `s |
