Everyone wants their rpg to be playable on b.net.. and everyone wants their rpg to have cool music/graphics.. so when do you draw the line? Do you just ignore the 56ker's out there, and go for the 5 mb? Or is that just to big for b.net? 10 mb? 20mb?
When do you know to sacrifice quality for file size... emote_confused
But for a game you expect people to join and download, dont go over a meg, no one on bnet waits that long. Unless they hear really good things about it.
thats true.. see.. i decided a while ago to make the first real good diablo rpg.. each map is an act.. anyhow, i extracted all the sounds out of the diablp mpq's and i want to use most of em =P
well.. the way i see it is.. im using their sounds from a game that they made in the editor they made and in another game that they made without benifiting in any financial way.. so i doubt that they are going to drop a lawsuit on lil ole me :D
lol.. you guys are too much.. do you reaallly think blizzard would spent the money/time/effort to get a hold of me and legally tell me to get rid of the sounds? lol.. please :////
1 Mb tops man, definantly drop the sounds, if only for the sake of filesize, sounds arent worth the size they take up, I usually cant hear much over my music anyway.
