Im not sure if this should be ehre or in map tools but... Here's my problem, i made a new version of my map, protected it (Maximum settings on heavy locker, i checked EVERYTHING) and when i tried it on bnet it crashes during map loading. Ive tried exprotect. Same problem. I have protected and unprotected maps for both problems on both protectors. Can anyone help me? ive tried every level of obfuscate, i' ve added and removed code from the map. I've twiddled the object editor. In all cases i either get the "game not found" problem or it crashes during map loading, about the first cm of the blue bar. |

http://www.battle.net/forums/war3/th...nt=0#post67292 See #7 Its better to manualy lock it. Note:This is permanent so make a backup. |

Did you use the latest version of extprotect? If so, I'd appreciate you sending me the map so I can see what the problem is and fix it. Use the address at the link in my sig please(I really want to get this bug fixed but nobody will send me a map that demonstrates it and I can't fix it until then) Manual protection is NOT better, because it still leaves the jsas code very easily readable. My protector makes the jass much more difficult to read, so anybody wanting to manually edit it will have a hard time. It also removes some files that manual protection doesn't that gives more information about the map that makes editing much easier. |

How about not using Obfuscate at all? Some maps get really bugged with it |

Theres 3 or 4 file which can be removed to prevent all access to the map and its trigger. Blizz didnt list em all but I know Dakan posted em on the board somewhere. Extprotect must remove some of those file I guess. If youre using the old program, dont forget to change the extension to w3x |

Tried that. I tried unchecking Z-lib blah blah. I tried not optimizing doodads. I tried with everything, with nothing, and many of the levels in-between. Extrarius: I saved copies of the map when i encountered the bug, but now my email server has decided to die on me and the map is 337kb and therefore too big to send with yahoo mail. I'll get the map files to you ASAP. |

Make a copy of your map first I found if you make a blank microsoft word document and sav it into one of your folders. Then Import in to your map and name the path war3map.wtg then save your map. the map works in the game but can not be opened in the W.E.:D :foot: 8)) |
