(Thats battle of the bulge for ppl who dont know) Hey guys im, currently working on a WW2 map (Yea yea i know, not another ww2 map ;)) Anyway this map is based on the Battle of the Bulge in the forest near Bastogne, Belgium. The map has a 'hold the line' theme where you have a force of about 60men and you have to hold your (the american) side of the forest for a limited amount of time until reinforcements arrive, during this time Axis troops will b trying to break through. Sandbag walls and bunkers will provide cover so placing troops behind them gives an advantage. Im currently waiting to... 'get' my hands back on a copy of 3DS Max so i can do some unit alterations to help the map. Unlike some maps with custom models i vow to get mine finished :D. Heres 3 shots from the map. Lookin' pretty freaking sweet, dude. I hope to God you finish this, as I've been waiting for a WW2 mod for the longest time. You know the engine can render kickass battles. The only suggestion I can offer is about the terrain. It looks a little too snowy. I suggest just dropping a few random "rock" tiles or something to make the ground look more tread-upon. If you ever need a hand making maps or anything, say the word. -Bejoty |

Absolutely amazing - keep up the good work. You must have a lot of free time on your hands to model and do a map and all. I can't wait for you to release it. If you'd be so kind, make more battles, because this one looks pretty damn cool. |

Thanks guys, @shadowfax; yea ill add some more tiles to the terrain like you said, thanks for suggesting. @ph33rb0; I am gonna be making a battlelines series (this is going to be a multiplayer map by the way) The other maps im going todo are; Omaha (Obviously) Market Garden & Carentan These are some i MIGHT do, depending on if i can b arsed; El Alamein (Desert fighting) Stalingrad (Russions instead of allies/ruined city) and finally a WW2 open RPG (depending on if it would work or not) I have a sh!tload of time on my hands so thats how i can get these done. No tanks in this yet guys until i learn animating. Thanks again. |

I'm sure we all know what Wolfenstein is. But did you know that it originated as an isometric, pseudo-RPG on the Commodore 64? I'm thinking modern re-make. I started a project like this a ways back, but when Blizzard unlocked the save/load triggers, I halted it to work on my old fantasy RPG project. -Bejoty |

Hey guys, i've finally got the map up to a playable state, the map seems pretty adverage at the moment: get units, defend line, send reinforcement units to attack enemy and so on, i need help to add afew more idea to 'spice' it up more. This is a Bnet map, though u can play single-player i advise not to as solo sucks, (I havent been able to beta test on bnet as i cant host so im asking anybody who visits these forums todo so for me) The Rifle Infantry and Grenadier portraits are screwed up cus it wont recognise the mdx i imported :( I could really use ideas and stuff for this map, Thanks. p.s. the map IS protected so dont think you can get my models by stealing, i might release them later on anyway.) Shadowfax, if u ever do make that rpg PM me and ill give ya a hand if u want. |
