Seeking warcraft tactics collaborator

I've been working on a turn based tactical map/mod which resembles Final Fantasy Tactics (FFT) in gameplay. The basic gameplay triggers (all 125 of them) are largely finished, and the map itself is now playable as a single player vs self game. For more information about the map itself, along with a working version of the gameplay map, go here:

This has the potential to be fairly cool, I think, but I'm reaching some of my limits in terms of time and talent. I think I have the triggering knowledge needed to see this through to the end, but what I really need is somebody who's good at creating terrain and placing scenery. I have little skill with terrain editing, and this would be a logical division of labor in creating this map. Ideally I'd like to find somebody who not only knows how to make a map pretty but also to make it tactically interesting.

If this works out, I think this would make a cool 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 map with only a fair amount of work. But with the time and manpower, I'd love to create a single player campaign based off of this concept ala FFT. All of this takes more effort than I alone can muster, but I think it would be a fun, rewarding project to work on. If the idea of a turn based tactical map sounds cool, click on the link to see what I've done, and if anyone thinks this is an idea worth investing some time and effort in, please let me know.

I have an idea for a map, I'll send it to you when I'm finished here, I think the biggest mistake was in having such a big map in your sample map, I think 32x32 is much more fitting (either that or you increase the move radius). My one big question is: will this ever work in 1v1 play (that is not giving the other player the opportunity to screw the first player up, etc etc) Btw when I opened up the map to confirm the size (I think yours is 64x64?) and it crashed WE, oh well, im going to work with 32x32.

At the time I started this project, I didn't know there was any way to get the map to 32 by 32 any way except restricting the size of the map itself. As it is, I've adjusted the playable area to the point where in reality it is 32 x 32 (besides, this leaves open the possiblity of expanding at some later date, either to enlarge the playing field or to incorporate multiple fields on the same map surface). I agree that even this seems fairly large. I've been playing with the unit movement/ranges. I've also been experimenting with larger characters but with a limit to the scalability of doodads, 2x characters look "off" for some reason (also if you double a character's size you have to double their walking speed, and for faster units that simply isn't possible, so they look sluggish (see the thread in map creation on unit speeds)). In FFT, it takes at most 4-5 turns to get from one end of the board to the other on normal terrain, which is what I'll be aiming for here.

"My one big question is: will this ever work in 1v1 play (that is not giving the other player the opportunity to screw the first player up, etc etc) "

I'm afraid I'm not understanding your question. All units are paused when not active, and triggers are in place to make outright cheating pretty difficult. At the moment, all unit control is given to a single player for the purposes of mapmaking - upon release, the players will be technically "allies" (this is desireable because it lets units ignore each other) but there will no longer be shared control. Is that what you're talking about?

"I opened up the map to confirm the size (I think yours is 64x64?) and it crashed WE"

Hmmm, not sure what's going on there. I've certainly made no attempt to confound anybody trying to see my triggers, and from a few other posts, it seems that other people have been able to gain access in WE. Certainly I have no trouble editing it.

Anyway, thnaks for the feedback, and looking forward to seeing what you have in mind.
