Events - Unit - Unit Finishes Casting a Spell Conditions - (Ability Being Cast) equal to Storm Bolt Actions - Pick Every Unit within 125 of (Target Unit of Casted Spell {Or whatever}) and do Unit - Set life of (Picked Unit) to Life of (Picked Unit) - (Level of Stormbolt on Casting Unit) *25. That'll make it do 25 more area damage in a 125 radius every time they level it up. |

First look at the build in spell editor in TFT before you ask this question. You can change it in the spell editor where it says area of effect. Please put some effort in finding it, els you'll never get better. |

Damn... forgot about that. I'm an idiot. So sue me. Though he wouldn't be able to make the area damage be less then the original. Don't be so agressive. The guy's only asking a question. |

Umm, setting an AoE to Storm Bolt does absolutely nothing. Maybe you, TheZaCrew, should do a little bit more research before you start criticizing other people. Eriond's method would be what you want to use, although you should probably put in a Wait action to account for the time between when the Storm Bolt is cast and when it hits the target unit. Use Wait (Distance Between Target Unit of Ability and Casting Unit)/(Projectile Speed of your spell, put this # in manually) seconds. Also, you'd need some method of keeping track of units being killed by trigger "damage". Another method you could use would be to create a dummy unit at the point of the Targeted Unit of Ability Being Cast (after the Wait) that would be ordered to cast something like War Stomp. You could have several dummy units and War Stomp abilities, one for each level of the spell, to accomplish this. |

Sorry I didn't mean to be agressive, I just thought when the text said AoE it would cause an area of effect. And what do you mean by stop criticizing him? He hadn't even looked through the spell where it said AoE. That AoE isn't causing an effect with stormbolt doesn't change the fact that he hadn't put much effort into it. I'm not saying he's a dumb 4ss(he isn't) because he didn't look it up I just say he should try to put more effort in his search - that is the key to gain more experience in map making and develope. |

no there is a better way. Elilz has a map demostrating how to use dummy units to cast AoE spells. Link follows... http://www.elilz.com/maps/Elil's_Area_of_Effect_Demo_v003.w3x |
