Hello, I need some helps here. I'm making an AOS map and I come upon this idea.I wanna try creating a map with river. The river is actually a path for units to move across, but i want to have it flooded with water at night, and accessible during the day.

Is this idea of mine possible? Maybe, i can make the units on it drown, if its halfway past the river.
Helps appreciated.:ggani:

thats a dam cool idea man=)

mayb you can edit the moon wells water height model. The river is model who is walkable at day and have colision size on day, and it has mana... and then you can change how fast it raises with regeneration of mana. And you can make so when the mana (height) reaches a certain points, all units on his position dies and he becomes not walkable.

But i cant edit models (havent got 3d studion) so ull have to fix that ur self=)

mayb this doent even work...

Another idea is making it a sea, moon wells water allrdy look like a big sea, so if u make a valley and then put moonwell water there....

lol hope this helps

theres a water rising doodad which you can use (kill/unkill it). and use dead and alive pathing blockers too edit pathing.

yeah i had an idea with this, would look pretty awesome in a cinematic. Make terrain. Put it underwater. Then have the players "watch" the terrain rise out of the ocean. Could be cool, could become laggy, no idea i should test this.

Maybe you could incorporate a dam into the level somehow. :D

The "rising water" doodad would work, but the only problem is that it's going to look incredibly man-made and square. The best thing to do would be to have a chokepoint on the river where this is the only place that it rises and falls that is accessible.

Eh, could you raise the riversides out of the water to begin with and use a few Crater effects to sink them again?

i can't find the water-rising doodad in the first place. Sorry. I'll try to find other solutions to it.
Thanks for the help guys.
