Help me out! I want to give a hero random stat bonus for leveling.

I want to do this one of 2 ways. I want to either give a hero random stat increase on gaining a level (EXAMPLE: STR Hero - 5-7 Str, 3-4 Agi, 1-2 Int per level) OR I want the normally increased values to be random (EXAMPLE: 8-12 Hit Points per every 1 Str, 2-5 mana for every 1 Int, etc).

I know I could easily fake the first effect just by giving a leveling hero a bunch of tomes, no big deal. But, I would rather do it the other way so I can use a wide range of levels without stacking tons of stats on single heroes (I don't think the tremendous stat numbers are very attractive).

Also, one question - do you think combining these effects would be too impractical? Like if I have both random stats AND random hp/mana gain from stats (to make it more classic RPGish?) Or should I stick to one or the other?

Use the modify hero stats trigger, and do Math - Random Number, YourNumber to YourNumber2

your second method is impossible, unfortuantly. Unless you know you want to completely forgoe stat points doing something and just rawly modifiying HP/MP/Attack/Armor in which case you can use the method I created found in the thread Important: Read: People who use to stack abilities...
