Hey all, Im trying to create a chain-poison spell, but im having trouble getting started. If i add a poison buff to the Chain-lightning spell, it doesnt actually deal poison damage to the targets, and im having trouble making a trigger that tracks the units hit by the chains, and then apply a poison to them. Im not looking for someone to make the spell for me, just if anyone would share their ideas how they'd do it.. thanks! :) Ala |

I've got an idea that may help you. Event Unit uses an ability Cond Ability = chain poison Action Set targeted unit = poisonTarg Create poisoner at position of poisonTarg Order last created unit to attack once poisonTarg Set time life = 3 sec Event Unit is attacked Cond Attacking unit = poisoner Move poisoner to position of attacked unit It works like this. I noticed that melee creep AI now intelligently selects targets that are not poisoned and goes out of its way to poison them. Im counting on this AI to kick in. Whast happens is that after the initial zap, the poisoner will auto acquire targets and zap them till his life timer runs out. Give him a lightning attack and change the lightning graphic to something else and it will look exactly like chain lightning with poison. |

Wont work i dont think. You best bet would just to slowly take away thier life and when thier health reaches a certain point, create a unit and kill. Make sure the unit has a AOE on death. Then after a few seconds pick the nearest unit by that unit and aoe. and so on. |
