i set the range of a unit to 1000, but it stays at 500, the arrow towers i have (not modified) is at 700, why does the range go to 500 instead of 1000?

no idea really, possible reasons:

you have changed the maximum range for groun units under "gameplay constants"

you are typing wrong (:D)

or the editor is bugged...

BTW dude the icons you requested from my are finished. Follow the link in my SIG to get your icons!

Did you modify the attack range AND the acquisition range?

Even if a units attack range is 700, if its acquisition range is 500 it will only shoot 500...

If its acquisition range is 700, but its attack range is 500 it will only shoot 500.......

^ No need to be harsh. At a glance, I can't guess which topic has the answer you are talking about, and I already know what the answer is.

And try using the search function for this.. a bit much to swallow on the results, no? (Only 363 topics! ;))

its not the aquisition range because i put the RANGE on 1000, but in-game it says 500, so its not the aquisition

The aquisition range still must be changed to, at the least, the range you want for the attack. If your aquisition range is 600, none of the unit's attacks can have a higher range.

When you hover your mouse over the attack, it will show one of two things for it's range, the aquisition range OR the actual range of the attack if it is LOWER than the aqisition range. Test it for yourself.
