Ive been having some problems with my map, as every time I attempt to open it in World Editor I get this error: ------- This application has encountered a critical error: Not enough storage is available to process this command. Program: c:\program files\warcraft iii\worldedit.exe Object: CustomObjectField (.?AUCustomObjectField@@) ------- This comes shortly after I had begun editing abilities on my map, so far I have tried reinstalling warcraft, to no avail. Luckily I do have a backup, but that one does not contain my custom units, so my question is, how do I fix this error? or, how can I export my custom units into my backup? Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. |

Does WE crash when you open the map? Or when you open the object editor AFTER opening the map? If it crashes when you open the object editor then its probably because you set either a Unit or an Ability to the race "Commoner" or "Critter", in which case the only way to fix it is: (The first 4 steps are to get the object editor OFF of the Unit or ability tab so that you can open it.) IF THATS NOT THE PROBLEM THEN IGNORE MY POST. 1. Open a different map 2. Open the object editor 3. Change the tab OFF of Unit or Ability 4. Save the map 5. Open your map 6. Open the object editor 7. DO NOT GOTO THE TAB THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM 8. Export ALL object data 9. Save the export somewhere you can find it 10. Open it in a HEX editor (no, notepad will not work, notepad corrupts it on save) 11. Replace all of the words "Commoner" or "Critter" with "Other" 12. Save and Import it back into your map. |

Not enough storage? Sounds like a RAM or Memory error. |

Well, I wasnt able to fix it, so just decided to redo all the unit data. Took a while, but its done either way. Just to clarify, it was when I opened the map that I got the error, and I also tried using UMSWE, although it didnt work either. I think I also found where the problem was, as when I opened up the ability data in Excel, I found a column that apparently repeated itself indefinately. No idea how this happened, nor how to fix it though. |
