Guest | I tried modifying a tileset using blp files, and it works great, the only problem is that I cannot seem to modify cliffs. I exported them and integrated them in my map but they still appear normal. What is wrong? Am I importing the wrong cliff? |

Guest | *bump* ? its really weird cos all the other terrain does show up correctly.. its only the cliff parts that appear like they normally would. |

I don't have time right now but I'll have a look into this for my editor one day. |

Cliffs do that unless you have the regular two tiles that contain the cliffs. (i.e. the grass and desert one in the "Barrens" tileset.) |

But I want to edit those. I just want to reskin ANY cliff possible, but it seems that whenever I modify the cliff, it doesn't appear so in the game, though the other custom terrain will. So... hello? anyone? any stupid idea or "I havent tried this"-suggestion welcome!!! |

Cliffs CANNOT be changed. I heard that in the beta version or whatever, that you could change the cliffs, but when they put them into groups (i.e. Barrens, Northrend, etc.) they locked the cliffs and their tile. I'm not sure if this is un-doable at all. EDIT - Spelling Mistakes (sigh) |

my best guess teup is that the cliff blps cant be read from the map and need to be in an mpq... |

Guest | That would be horroble.. I'm making a map that mainly takes place in a dream, with a custom (purple) version of the ashenvale tileset, but the cliffs just remain.. brown and green.. it looks terrible :( |
