I've been fooling with my minimap, trying to make it look like I didn't just slap down trees in random areas, and make it look more like it took some time to do. I've tried darkening some areas with dark grass, whereas the rest of the map is mainly just plain grass. Just wondering if theres a trick or method or system that is used to try and give the map a nice, polished look. |

Try File -> Generate Shadow Map and Save But back up your map first, because once you generate a shadow map once, you'll have to do it again each time you change your terrain or risk your map/minimap looking ugly. Also: You can change the colours specific doodads appear on the minimap. You can do this by going to the Object Editor -> Doodads and finding which one you'd like to edit. |

File | Export Minimap Pick whatever options you want, then open up the file with your favorite image editor and make it look like whatever you want, then import it was war3mapMap.tga |

I actually meant in the way of just plain terraining, but it looks like those might be very helpful too. I'll try the shadow one out later, and keep the other one in mind.
