has anyone had any luck with making war club into a hero ability? it seems that whenever the unit uses the ability and grabs a tree, his attack info display disappears. the unit is still able to attack ok, but the info card just looks a little odd that way. i thought perhaps it was something with the hero attack type, but it seems to affect the hero no matter what attack type they have at first. also, i was attempting to make an active version of cleaving attack for a unit. the dummy spell was based off of immolation, since i wanted to use a spell that would drain mana while the passive ability was turned on. i have it so that when immolation is on, the unit is given a unit-type version of cleave; four different spells for each level of the ability. i wanted to set the cleave ability to not have an icon, so it would seems as though a seperate ability wasn't being added in, however, if the ability has no icon, it seems to either use the temp art or just a green block. if anyone knows any way to get either of those working, i would really appreciate it. thanks.. :) |

well, in testing everything out for war club, i changed all of the stats on one of the heroes ( i believe i used the crypt lord ) to match the mountain giant as best i could. some things i wanted to leave different, such as hero damage and things like that.. but he does have two attacks in the editor. quite confusing. |

all warclub does is disable one attack, and enable the other. simple. |

yes, it seems that any second attack for a hero is not shown properly. i thought perhaps i could use a custom upgrade to enable the second attack, but this also removes the attack icon in the info card. how very annoying. i do still wonder why this only seems to affect heroes.. hmm.. i suppose that if i cannot get it to display the siege damage correctly, i could just have it give the hero a bonus to damage with a custom upgrade. he still seems to get the addition to his attack range, so i could keep it as hero damage. it would just be nice to get siege damage working for him. anyone have any advice for the second thing i was trying with the adding of the passive ability? :) |

Well, the best I've been able to get to a blank icon is just save a copy of another icon as a .tga. That should just make it a blank square. The problem is that it still has a tooltip box (even it you delete the tooltip) and it can still ovverride other icons... so put it in (1,1) or whatever where it won't overlap another icon. |
