That is some intensive shading.
Drawing murlocs is a pretty original idea, but they look much too flat to be realistic. Try making them complex by using a thinner penicl, drawing muscles, even bones and tendons. Even if your aiming for cartoony style, look at Ertwenpellers' artwork, his is relativly simple but still 8)) 0_o :D . Also, try varying your perspective, instead of doing a view from size, try a 3/4 view.
Play a lot with facial muscles as well, that murloc on the right looks like its dozing off, make you look pissed and agressive by puttion lotta fat sweaty muscles on his face, or opening his mouth really wide.
The one on the left looks like he's showing the other one how big the fish he caught was, try looking at posture a bit more.
You should look at how the ingame murloc's are and try to see more detail. You can even take a screenshot of one posing and then copy it by adding a little more detail and polygons :ggani: .
