Back from a time without photoshop... Anyway, here's my latest skin to "unrust" my skinning skills and yeah, it's just another demonhunter. As you probably can see he still have teamcolor on his right hand, which is very strange because i could remove the left one without a problem but when it was time for the right he refused to let it go and turned himself invisible:ggani:. But seriously, does anyone know why the skin is "acting" this way and please give some comments and constructive critizism as this is a WIP. -EDIT- Oh yeah, I almost forgot, how the heck do you apply a custom skin on a model in wc3viewer?, would make it 100% easier for me to skin. |

get better shots... Why does everyone always post bad screenshots? |
| 01-03-2004, 09:49 PM | #3 |
Because I don't know how to use the wc3viewer to do screenies. |

press the button that looks like a camera (duh) and then choose a folder where you want it to be saved (ueah, its that easy) i am asuming you know how to rotate the view. From what i can see, he is looking good. What side is he gonna be on ? NE ? |

Ok, here's the WIP unwrapped: Quote:
Yeah, but how do you apply the skin to the model in the first place? And btw, I think he'll be a human. |

extract the model lets say demonhunter.mdx. And put it in the same folder as your skin. the path for the model is textures/herodemonhunter.blp correct? Make a folder named textures with your skin and model. Put the blp in that folder. open the model. It opens up and it should be on the model. |

Maybe because 50% of the skin is the original and maybe because I'm not finished with the areas I HAVE edited, or it could be because this mainly is a practise skin. Make your pick. |

I have no idea what your talking about Mock It didn't work for me. |
| 01-03-2004, 10:26 PM | #11 |
Not for me either... |

That's not what I do mock... What I do to get my skins into the viewer is first find out the path of the skin I'm using (for this it would be Textures\HeroDemonHunter.blp, right). Then you make a new folder in your WarCraft directory called 'Textures' and then put your 'HeroDemonHunter.blp' file in the Textures folder... You may need to press 'reload textures' in the viewer, but that should work...;) |

lol i do it the weird way then lol. I think yoda24 does it the same way as me. If you notice some of his downloads have lots of folders. There is another way but you need the converter etc. My way is similar to EL-Azmodeus. Just not in the wc3 directory. |

If Yoda jumped off a bridge, would you do it too? :P Here emil... took a screenshot for you to prove my way works... Oh, and I, uh couldn't help doing some work on the face, my bad. :gsmile: |
