Being one of my favorite musicians, I decided to give a portrait of him a go. I'll post up the reference pic in my next post, here's my version...took several hours to make. |

Zoom the original to 200% and you can easily see some major flaws. Though at this distance, I think my biggest flaw was putting a shadow to the lower right of his nose when in the original there isn't any shadow there...in fact, it's a tint. I'm going to make a few fixes then post it up again. |

He is a bisexual, anti-life, anti-God, drug abusing piece o crap...so understandable to not like him...but he's pretty cool IMO. Damned good music as well. Favorite song of his has to be Antichrist Superstar...or perhaps Angel with the Scabbed Wings...or maybe The Love Song...or maybe Dead God. All decent music with lots of energy and relatively intelligent anti-authoritarian messages. |

OMG! i can't belive I didn't see this . 4 months of this I bet u can paint realistic potraits with ease. Your stuff is like improving so rapidliy. I saw your old self portrait and the black guy patriot. This painting is like a huge jump from those two. I can't help to ask ... but is this traced? Its just so accurate. Even the sapce from the edge to his left shoulder and his right shoulder space is like 100% accurate. Even if was traced, its still an awesome painting. This painting makes me want to do more life drawings =) |

I used the rulers in photoshop for this...it took me hours to get it accurate. I had to trace the gloves though...I couldn't get those accurate in size even with the rulers. The rest is freehand with lots and lots of ruler marks on the layer below the colors :) |

wow! you rendered that photo perfectly! i have to agree with kimchi on this one, though i also agree with beam (that guys a lil too messed up for my tastes, and i think he tries sell his "evil" image to stupid rebellious kids too much, but its still an awesome drawing) |

Although I think manson is a self-righteous posuer its a great portrait; I mean abso-f'ing-loutely great. He doesn't give me the creeps personally since we are talking about a self-mutilating obvious victim of his childhood. |
